EVERY BRILLIANT THING

We were enthused, inspired and engaged by Kate Mulvany brilliant performance in “Every Brilliant Thing” at the Belvoir Theatre this evening, where she used the audience as her fellow actors.

The play enables us to see through the eyes of a 7, 17 and 27 year old daughter, living with a mum with severe depression, and how she coped by making a list of everything that’s brilliant about her world.

1. Ice Cream

2. Kung Fu Movies

3. Burning Things

4. Laughing so hard you shoot milk out your nose

5. Construction cranes

6. Me

The list takes  on a life of its own - with a million brilliant things.

“One of the funniest plays you’ll ever see about depression – and possibly one of the funniest plays you’ll ever see, full stop.” – THE GUARDIAN

“Everyone who sees this play will rave about it” - Spark Magazine
