To let all family and friends know that we are still in Zim - we are safe. We leave tomorrow morning early and just hope and pray the border is open and we have a smooth trip there.
There is total lock down at the moment, the people are reacting to the desperate economic situation with anger and widespread looting and burning of shops, roads closed and everyone at home.
The government has shut down all internet, so no whatsapp, no e mail, no news in or out. I am on line right now via a South African cell phone.
The scariest thing is that the international press seem to be doing a minimum of reporting, probably because they just cannot get the optics. Will let you all know when we in SA safe n sound.
